Khabib lamenta ter que cancelar luta contra Tony Ferguson pelo UFC 249

Após ficar preso na Rússia por conta do período de quarentena, o campeão dos leves do UFC, Khabib Nurmagomedov, lamentou por meio de suas redes sociais ter que cancelar o combate contra o americano Tony Ferguson, agendado para o dia 18 de abril, pelo UFC 249, sem local definido.

“Estando em casa de quarentena e lendo a reação das pessoas sobre a situação da minha luta, enquanto todo o mundo deveria estar de quarentena, governos de todos os países, pessoas famosas em todo o mundo pedindo para que sigam os requisitos de segurança para limitar a propagação da doença, para salvar as pessoas, e Khabib é o único livre de todas essas obrigações e tem que demonstrar que está livre para treinar e voar por todo o mundo por causa de uma luta?”, escreveu o russo.

Os maiores países e maiores empresas do mundo estão chocados com o que está acontecendo, todos os dias a situação muda de forma imprevisível. Mas Khabib ainda tem que lutar, é isso que vocês estão dizendo? Cuidem-se e coloquem-se no meu lugar”, completou.

Com a ausência de Khabib, a tendência é que Justin Gaetjhe seja o escalado para enfrentar Ferguson. O presidente do UFC, Dana White, já ressaltou que pretende manter o evento.
